President Joe Biden, in San Francisco where he is hosting the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, signed a temporary spending bill that keeps the government running through the holidays. Passed by both houses with bipartisan support this week, the measure does not include wartime aid for Ukraine and Israel. ORDER GAGGED: An appeals court judge, citing constitutional concerns, gave Donald Trump a victory by pausing a gag order that had barred him from discussing court staffers in his civil fraud trial. Trump quickly lashed out at trial Judge Arthur Engoron's clerk, Allison Greenfield, labeling her as a "politically biased and out of control, Trump Hating Clerk" on his Truth Social platform. SANTOS REPORT: Rep. George Santos announced he won't run for reelection after the House Ethics Committee released a report that said there is "overwhelming evidence" the Long Island Republican violated campaign finance and financial disclosure laws. Some House members are planning a second vote to expel him after they return from their Thanksgiving break.

Florida can't enforce its ban on children watching drag performances until a court case resolves its constitutionality, the Supreme Court ruled. One thing we love: The gentle conspiracy of surprise parties. One thing we hate: Our skin punishing us for the weather changing. One thing we ate: A bunch of pickles at Sarge's Deli. No regrets. |
