I tested running a social media account using only AI-generated content to see if my audience would notice. I used a mix of Buffer's AI Assistant, Claude AI, and ChatGPT to create LinkedIn posts for one week – here's what the experiment found: - Overall impressive performance: The AI content reached over 9,600 impressions and 150 engagements, surpassing my usual weekly averages. This significant engagement suggests that the AI content resonated well with the audience, achieving a meaningful scale of discovery.
- Practical advice won the day: I noticed a clear trend: posts offering specific, actionable advice were far more engaging than conceptual thought leadership pieces. My audience evidently preferred content with immediate, practical takeaway.
- The role of trust: The trust I've cultivated with my audience clearly contributed to the AI content's success. This highlights the importance of maintaining and building audience trust as a cornerstone of engagemen
- Prompting AI is an art: Achieving a natural tone in AI-generated content required meticulous prompting and editing. The initial drafts often needed significant refinement to truly echo my voice and style.
- Personal brand consistency is key: Staying true to my content pillars while using AI was crucial in ensuring my brand voice shined and made the AI almost undetectable. This approach ensured that the AI content met my audience's expectations and my branding goals

Moving forward, I'm planning to prioritise actionable advice in line with my content pillars. I'll also continue refining the AI's voice to more closely match mine, exploring its use to bolster consistency in my content creation |
