I'm Paige Vega, Vox's Climate Editor, here to tell you about a special project we published today.
The climate crisis can sometimes feel like a slow-motion horror disconnected from our daily lives. At Vox, we wanted to create a project that illuminated the opposite — something that explains how we confront climate change and explore our relationship with the planet in our own homes, every day. Climate change is not abstract; it's deeply personal.
We called this project Home Planet, and you can read the full collection of stories now. While each story plays out in a personal way—for example, one feature focuses on confronting the climate crisis as a parent raising a preteen daughter—all of them tap into bigger questions about how climate change will impact our daily lives and what we can do to make life better.
I'm proud of our commitment here at Vox to publish stories like these that give readers new frameworks and ideas to solve problems and help them make more informed decisions in their daily lives.
