Diplomats from Qatar, Egypt and the U.S. have been trying to negotiate a second extension to the Israel-Hamas cease-fire before it expires tonight. Since Friday, the pause in fighting has allowed Hamas to release more than 80 hostages taken Oct. 7 in exchange for 180 Palestinian prisoners. IF IT EXPIRES: The Biden administration said if and when Israel resumes its offensive, it should avoid "significant further displacement" of Palestinians, but Israel's defense minister said that it will expand fighting "throughout the entire [Gaza] Strip." |

The president's son offered to testify publicly to the House Oversight Committee instead of in a closed-door deposition from which, his lawyer said, GOP members would distort by selectively leaking information. Committee Chairman James Comer refused the offer, saying Biden would have to testify as demanded in the subpoena sent early this month as part of its impeachment inquiry. |

6. HACKERS HIT ER PATIENTS |
A ransomware attack last week has forced a major healthcare chain to send some emergency room patients to other hospitals. Ardent Health Services — which operates more than 30 hospitals in Texas, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Kansas, New Mexico and Idaho — took down its network, including electronic medical records that healthcare staff rely on to treat patients. Great work, hackers. We're sure your parents are real proud. |

The 2014 will was found under couch cushions at one of the homes in 2019. |

If you're veg-curious but unsure how you'd get enough macros, this segment introduces you to a wide range of protein-packed foods you probably already eat. (And no, it's not just tofu and Beyond Burgers.) But where does vegan (and record-breaking strongman) Patrik Baboumian get his protein? |

A human mom delivers twins in just 3% of births. For the endangered savanna elephant, twins are even rarer: Just 1% of live births have two calves. That made the news of twin sisters even sweeter for Kenya's Samburu National Reserve, which is full of food after recent rains, making it easier for mom Alto to provide them with enough milk. Watch the youngsters, just days old, trot after their mommy. |
