1. This Tiktok Forager Wants to Help You Eat for Free |
Ever considered eating plants from your neighborhood? James Beard Award–winner Alexis Nicole, known as "The Black Forager," has more than 4.5 million followers on TikTok. So we asked her: With food prices soaring, how about getting some of your food for free?
"It's so important to foster a stronger connection to our food," she says. "We don't know what food is even ripe and ready to harvest, right now."
Instead, why not go out into the woods, or even better, walk into your neighborhood, connect with your surroundings, and get some free food? A common foraged ingredient is the humble dandelion, available in fancy supermarkets for $9 a bundle—or for nothing outside right now. It's the perfect "introductory vegetable." Also: Beware dog pee. And be sure to wash those things! Click through to find out: What's the craziest place Alexis has ever foraged for food? Watch Now |

5. Stop Flossing. Start Flaus-ing. |
Be honest. Do you floss? Come on. Honestly. Only 30% of Americans floss every day, but Flaus founder and CEO Samantha Coxe wants to change that—by changing flossing itself. Coxe had been brushing her teeth twice daily but still found herself with 12 cavities in a single dentist visit, so she left her M&A career in 2021 to launch Flaus, the world's first electric flosser.
From striking a deal on Shark Tank to targeting retailers in the oral beauty space, Coxe discusses how "in order to take care of yourself, and be the most that you can be, you have to be taking care of your smile." She even gives us a demonstration. Watch Now |
