President Joe Biden on Sunday condemned the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump as "contrary to everything we stand for as a nation" and pledged a review of security measures for next week's Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. "There is no place in America for this kind of violence or any violence for that matter. Biden said that he ordered an independent review of what occurred at the Trump rally. The president also said he would speak at greater length later Sunday night from the Oval Office on uniting as a nation.
